 2022 Mythology White Merlot

From our very own estate vineyard, Mythology Vineyard in Osoyoos, this medium-plus body, easy-drinking blush was made just like a white wine with very little skin maceration to preserve a very light colour. The orange-peach tint on this vintage is very unique and attractive. On the nose, this wine offers aromas of blue plum, red cherry, strawberry, peach, orange peel, lemon drop and a hint of fresh herbs past the mid-palate. Meanwhile the palate contains a bold texture and a slight tannic structure, which brings some extra personality. The flavours reflect the aromas very well with the addition of a noticeable white pepper on the finish. Serve chilled.

The style has changed slightly compared to the 2017, offering a more exotic fruit-forward style with round tannins and a lengthy, spicy finish. The nose opens up with aromas of ripe cherry, plum raspberry, tobacco and fresh herbs and offers a good indication of what to expect when you taste the wine. After an explosion of red fruits, the wine transitions nicely to milk chocolate, vanilla and white pepper while being surrounded by a graceful and silky texture. Decant for 30 minutes to an hour for maximum enjoyment!

Okanagan Valley Syrah from Kismet Vineyard. Abv 13.8%, RS 3 g/L

Deep ruby colour, cedary, toasty, mulberry nose with oak spice and a note of rose petal. Full-bodied, dried, fleshy and elegant blackberry and mulberry flavours with fresh acidity. Beautifully balanced. Juicy on the palate with a long finish.
