Our Merlot spent 24 months in oak barrels, including 30% new oak. The result? A savoury, oak-forward expression of Merlot. On the nose, you’ll find red currant, blueberry, cassis, mixed herbs, and spiced oak. The palate is evolving beautifully, softer now, yet still vibrant with a nervy, pulsing energy. Flavours of red berry compote, blueberry, dark chocolate, and stony minerality lead into a long—very long—oak-kissed finish. 92 Points Carl’s Wine Club

"Notes of blueberry, sour cherry, plums, and white flowers. The front palate has a light cherry and raspberry bite in a positive way, while the mid palate is smoother with blueberry, plum, white pepper, and baking spice. Medium length, medium acidity, and super fine tannins.
I'm really liking the direction Mark is taking his Estate Series wines, they are more layered and complex than many nearby. This will get better with some age and was great tonight, it would be FANTASTIC with a bbq steak, no sauce.
A superb wine in the $45 range and completely worthy."
